Blinders

Junkyard Blog sums up all the reasons I don’t pay nearly as much attention to Andrew Sullivan as I once did.  Single-issue politics are an excellent way to put on blinders and marginalize oneself, especially when it’s clear that one’s position on the issue is based not on rational thinking but on emotion.  Garry Trudeau did it with his single-minded hatred of Bush the Elder, and Sullivan is just the latest victim of the syndrome.
