Savages Murder Twelve from Nepal

The BBC is reporting that the savages in Iraq may have murdered as many as twelve Nepalese hostages. These were men working for a Jordanian company.

An Arabic language website has posted images of what it says are the executions of 12 Nepalese citizens taken hostage in Iraq.

There has been no confirmation from the Nepalese government.

Ten days ago at least 12 Nepalese workers were kidnapped in Iraq by a militant Islamic group.

The website carried a statement from the militant group, Army of Ansar al-Sunna, which said the men were being punished for helping the US.

In the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu, the cabinet has been holding an emergency meeting to discuss the reported executions.

It appears one of the hostages may have been beheaded, and the others shot in the back of the head. The Nepalese government says it has received no demands.  This seems aimed more at Jordan, Kuwait, and Iraqis who might be inclined to hire foreign workers to aid in the reconstruction of Iraq. A grim reminder that in this season when our democracy flourishes, there are still those abroad who would destroy it there - and here.

My condolences to the families of the victims.
