Shilling for Kerry
Can they actually be that clueless? After all, having blown 99.999% of their credibility over the forged memos, CBS now planned to expend the remaining .001% on the already discredited missing explosives story:
60 MINS PLANNED BUSH MISSING EXPLOSIVES STORY FOR ELECTION EVE
News of missing explosives in Iraq—first reported in April 2003—was being resurrected for a 60 MINUTES election eve broadcast designed to knock the Bush administration into a crises mode.
Jeff Fager, executive producer of the Sunday edition of 60 MINUTES, said in a statement that “our plan was to run the story on October 31, but it became clear that it wouldn’t hold...”
Drudge has more, but can they be serious? CBS? At this stage of the game, if CBS came out and said that George Bush is an all around great guy and family man, I’d have to reconsider my opinion purely based on the source. Such a broadcast would only have gained Bush votes. Those guys are obviously living in a bubble.
